Educated at one of the world’s leading engineering schools and with a post graduate degree in finance from Stanford University, Zach spent several years as a top-tier investment banker for 2 large Wall Street firms before moving to South Africa in late 2010..
In 2011, Zach took on the role of head of African operations for U-Start – a Swiss based global investment advisory firm specializing in direct and indirect venture capital investments in the tech and digital sector for private investors (prominent family offices and high net-worth Individuals) as well as venture capital funds, corporate ventures and wealth management institutions. In 2012, Cactus Advisors with Zach at the helm, took over the responsibility of U-Start’s Africa operations.
